Construction Project Overview Civil Works Mechanical and Electrical Systems       Corporation Introduction Operations Plan Development Plan Links E-mail Home	Overview of Civil Contracts The main civil contracts of the Red and Orange Lines of Kaohsiung Mass Rapid Transit Project consist of 11 general contracts for the red and orange lines and 3 general contracts for the depots (as graph below). The scopes of each general contract include civil works, environmental control, water and electricity, and public arts, etc. The general contractor is responsible for both design and construction works, that is in turnkey model. The contracts provisions, which request contractors to be responsible for design, construction and acceptance inspection, are based on "Rapid Transit Construction Specification" published by Construction Specification Integration Center of Public Construction Commission and "Conditions of Contract for EPC/Turnkey Projects" published by International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC).
